Seven actions nations need to take to benefit from the circular economy

Let me start this blog with saying that I have been an entrepreneur for the larger part of my life, and have always been one at heart. So in the early days of Circle Economy, when people asked me what governments could do to make a circular economy happen, my slightly euphemistic answer always was something like “let business take care of the action and facilitate the market by being flexible and easy to reach for entrepreneurs”.

But I radically changed my mind here! Our work with circular economy frontrunners made me realize that the circular economy is a completely new paradigm for which we need a visionary government together with pro-active facilitation. In this blog, I want to share seven actions that nations need to take to benefit from a circular economy, based on insights from our work with governmental organizations.

Based on these initiatives I have come to conclude my top 7 of actions that I think nations should take.
