Technical service provider Cofely has been closely involved with the transformation of the old Shell Tower at Amsterdam het IJ. Due to the usage of warmth and cold from the soil and the application of energy efficient installation, the climate control in the building is 60 percent more efficient.
The redevelopment of the Shell tower will use many materials get a new function and the same tower has become a lot more durable. Cofely will connect the A’Dam Toren to warmth and cold and it is built in the neighbourhood Overhoeks. Due to the system it saves 60 percent on gas and electricity which otherwise would have been necessary for heating and cooling.
