Our goal is to make a positive impact on sustainable energy in Europe. We do this by creating future game changers with a different mind-set, and bringing innovative products, services and successful companies to life.
With our headquarters in the Netherlands, we develop our activities across a network of offices located in Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Poland and Sweden. Our consortium consists of 27 shareholders and an additional 100+ Partners, Innovation, business creation and education in sustainable energy 100+ partners: companies, research institutes, universities and business schools covering the whole energy mix. These partners contribute to KIC InnoEnergy’s activities, forming a first class and dynamic network that is always open to new entrants. KIC InnoEnergy is financially supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and, while a profit-oriented company, has a “not for dividend” financial strategy, reinvesting all its profits back into the organisation’s activities.
We have several projects in our portfolio regarding the Smart City environment. KIC InnoEnergy works on storage, micro turbine technology, smart grids, electric vehicles, solar panels, sustainable building materials and lightning. All of our projects are scattered around Europe and have multiple parties involved. The projects are started in the last few years and the first results are there. In the future we hope to gather more interesting projects, and make a significant contribution to the European sustainable energy sector.
